Write a different story

Hey peeps!!! Happy New Yr! I feel like at least 95% of the world's population is so happy to be out of 2020 and into 2021. However, I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but remember a new day doesn't automatically reset all the not so great things of 2020. It will take some time for the world to go back to some sort of normalcy and that is ok for a few different reasons.

One of the biggest positives about the world taking some time to get itself together is that it gives us as individuals an opportunity to work on ourselves. Every yr people start the year off on the right foot. We are excited to have another 365 days added to our calendar and we always begin with so much determination, however usually by March 1st people are back to their old doubting behaviors and I want to encourage everyone reading this post today that you can push yourself for a little more than 2 months.

I do not personally ever do New Year Resolutions however I absolutely believe in having your goals written out somewhere you get to see them daily so you are constantly reminded of where you are going. I write mine in my phone because let's face it, we spend a lot of time on our devices, and also write in my journal. So when a new year kicks in, I sit and reflect on what I had stated during that year as goals, and where I am currently sitting. Goals are great, but goals without timelines are dreams, and you need to have an honest conversation with yourself about what you aim to achieve and what time frames you are giving yourself to get there. I will get candid with you all since we are all friends here, one of my "goals" that I have had since I was 25 was to be a home owner. However, I have never written it down anywhere, I have never even put a timeline of when I should have this home by and so for now it is just a dream. Maybe I am just not mentally ready to get my dream home or maybe I am self sabotaging... who knows? The reason why I share such a private goal of mine is because I want you all to start setting realistic attainable goals for yourself in this year. Time keeps moving and we only have one life to live so LIVE it. If 2020 taught us anything, its that life is beautiful and we should really give our full potential to anything we put our mind to.

So guess what I did today, I wrote down my dream home goal in bold letters all over the place. It's time to actually give life to it and so the journey to owning my very own home starts now.

Think about it today before Jan 1st ends? What do you hope to achieve?

I am also starting the book 'Chase the Lion' by Mark Battersea tonight and I am so excited to get into it, and really give myself that extra push into believing I can do it all!

Happy New Year again and I can't wait to grow this beautiful baby of mine with you all. Oh incase I lost you there, the baby we are growing together is this blog...lol
